On Friday the 13th 1997, the audiences were in a frenzy to watch a super hit movie at a full house in Satkar Theatre. Aghast a fire breaks out and engulfs the closed auditorium to vanquish more than 100 innocent lives. Years later their relatives still grieve for their loss and hope for justice.

"KYON" follows the lives of five college friends, Vikram Desai, Tony Brar, Amar Mathur, Neha Bose and Shilpa Narang who have a great bonding with each other which is asexual. They belong to today's young generation of urban India. Following the lives and lifestyles of these youth of today, we see how dysfunctional they are spending huge amount of money in being self-indulgent whether it be alcohol, drugs, sex or various forms of entertainment.

The documentary talks about of the devastating earthquake of 2001 and captures first-person accounts of survivors, rescuers, journalists, photographers, and earth scientists.
