The Club of Sinterklaas runs into a big problem when the moonlight almost disappears. Without it, the rooftops are far too dark to deliver presents! Meanwhile, little Jurre creates even more chaos when he tries to walk across the rooftops with his own animals — just like Sinterklaas’s horse. The barn on the farm gets damaged, and when the animals temporarily move into Sinterklaas’s castle, they turn the place completely upside down. While Test, Coole, Dans, and the other Piets are so desperate that they even try delivering presents with drones, Pakjesavond is drawing ever closer...

Every year, Sinterklaas's Club works tirelessly to make all the wishes from the mountains of wish lists come true. But some, unfortunately, are impossible to fulfill. When a storm at sea forces the steamboat to take a different route to the Netherlands, Sinterklaas suddenly sees an opportunity to make a wish from the pile of unfulfillable wishes come true. Sara has been asking for a real hug from Sinterklaas for years, but she lives far away… all the way in Austria. And now, that's right on the new route! The boat sets course for the White Mountains in Austria. There, Test, Coole, Dans, and the other Pieten see snow for the first time in their lives and all have snowy adventures. The whole village is in a festive mood, and Sara is overjoyed. But then Ozosnel suddenly disappears, and Sinterklaas can't go any further without his horse. Is there still a Christmas Eve in the Netherlands when Sinterklaas's Club is stuck in the snow?

Sinterklaas and his helpers are preparing to depart for the Netherlands on the steamboat. When Danspiet secretly brings a parrot on board, things go terribly wrong. This cheerful bird quickly causes chaos on all fronts. Baking Pete is at his wits' end when the chocolate melts, Cool Pete gets red bumps, and Danspiet gets into a fight with her best friend. Ultimately, things go so wrong that the boat veers off course and runs aground on an island. Will Sinterklaas's Club arrive in time for Christmas Eve?

In the film, St. Nicolas' Eve threatens to be canceled because a young Piet drops St. Nicholas's clock. In addition, the Saint's horse is behaving very strangely because he has run into Britt Dekker.

Ten-year-old Bloem is completely crazy about Sinterklaas' horse. After several attempts, she finally convinces Sinterklaas to let her ride his horse, but then something terrible happens. During a ride outside the castle, Amerigo loses his magic horseshoe. Sinterklaas' horse does not have normal horseshoes, but one golden horseshoe. Without this magical horseshoe, Amerigo cannot climb onto the roofs. Sinterklaas does not want to worry his helpers and starts a search together with Bloem.
