Alumni of a renowned high school's golf club gather to bid farewell to their retiring adviser. During the event, houseman Hirayama Yuta falls from a terrace into the sea. Detectives Nihei Jiro and Miyama Chiaki investigate, initially deeming it an accident. Mysterious Director Ouga Toichi arrives, suspecting foul play and starts a discreet investigation. Ouga coerces Nihei and Chiaki to join. Evidence mounts against the accident theory, especially when student Okumura Aoi, who had conflicts with Yuta, emerges. Ouga, determined to find the truth, uncovers threats and attacks targeting alumni. The trio suspects a serial murderer targeting the golf club graduates, possibly orchestrated by a mastermind known as the Joker.

Twenty-five-year-old Momo has friends. Her parents live some distance away, but they sometimes get together to dine out. She dates an acceptable guy, and they share drinks at home. She apologizes to unreasonable clients over the phone at work and hones her ability to keep things civil with coworkers at drinks after work. Over the course of her difficult journey, Momo herself begins to discover other choices beyond death.

Iori Igarashi works as a radiographer at a general hospital. He has been depressed, because An Amakasu, whom he loves, has decided to travel abroad to Washington Medical University to learn more as radiologist. The members of Radiation House encourages Iori. One day, An learns that her father is in serious condition. Her father was the only practicing doctor at a small clinic on a remote island. When An arrives, her father tells her to be a doctor who sees patients as a person and not a disease before he passed away. An decides to stay on the island because of a patient that her father cared about. A massive typhoon soon hits the island and a landslide then occurs. An unknown infectious disease spreads afterwards on the island. Iori knows that An is struggling on the remote island and he makes a decision for An and the residents of the island.
