Haru works at a part-time job for a bookstore. Her dream is to become an illustrator and she also loves cats. One day, after a cat named Chibutomu disappears from the bookstore Haru canvasses the neighbourhood in search of Chibutomu.

Munich, Germany, 1923. Two years have passed since Edward Elric was dragged from his own world to ours, leaving behind his country, his friends and his younger brother, Alphonse. Stripped of his alchemical powers, he has been all this time researching rocketry together with Alphonse Heiderich, a young man who resembles his own brother, hoping to one day find a way back home. Kasumi gets sick, and Akane discovers her late mother's recipes and tries to cook for the family. Ranma's mother, Nodoka, arrives to help and teaches both Akane and a disguised Ranma (Ranko) how to cook. A cooking competition between Akane and Ranma ensues.

Shampoo discovers a broach which makes her feel the opposite of her true feelings for Ranma. Ranma begins to panic at the thought of losing one of his fiancees, and plans to tell Shampoo that he loves her.
