The tide washes up a slain Viking warrior on the beach in Husum: the unusual "dead body by the sea" is not a case for historians, however, but for the police and detective Ria Larsen. Marlene Tanczik plays the battered but combative investigator in the second film in the Saturday evening crime series on the first channel. Christoph Letkowski plays her partner Brandt, who believes in Ria's special abilities and is loyal to her.

Nina and Karl are a perfectly normal, crazy couple. They can't live with or without each other. But suddenly, Nina can no longer stand the routine and decides to run away. She wants to be somebody else, though not (yet) an adult. The unfamiliar loneliness also affects Karl. Nina, meanwhile, doesn't seem to be able to get rid of Karl quite so easily.

Kenan and Lissi live side by side in a semi-detached house in Munich - and yet in different worlds. He is an order-loving bourgeois who doesn't tolerate a speck of dust in his house and devotes himself meticulously to growing roses in the garden. Henriette is terminally ill with cancer. Since her diagnosis, contact with her sister Gerlinde has fizzled out. It is only when she talks to the open-minded pastor Linus Gobert that she begins to accept her fate and gets closer to her sister again. But before she can tell Gerlinde about her illness, she is shot dead in the street. Gerlinde, the only witness to the crime, doubts that it was a robbery.

Ex-con Zeki Müller goes undercover as a teacher at a below average Gymnasium to find money he'd stashed prior to incarceration.

Judith, Ulrike, and Jochen, three individuals in a big city, each seek a better life. Judith, a former flight attendant, works from home with her son. Ulrike, recently single, left her job to find new purpose. Jochen, an insurance agent, aims for a stable job to afford his own place. Despite their different paths, they all strive for meaning and love amidst temporary challenges.
