This impressionistic film captures the uniqueness of life and creativity. An experimental feature comprising 40 distinct acting roles, each captured on its own 16 mm film roll, offering a kaleidoscopic mosaic of human traits that fluidly crosses comedy, drama, and documentary styles. Rather than following a conventional narrative, it presents standalone character portraits that collectively inspire creative artists to define and communicate their vision clearly.

The life story of Jan Amos Comenius, who became probably the most famous Czech exile due to his beliefs and opinions. He spent most of his life outside his homeland, but nevertheless, with his unique ideas, which he recorded in almost 200 books and writings, he was far ahead of his time and influenced the whole world.

The star Svituška, paired with the admired Sirius, is one day cast down to earth by the jealous star Proxima. Svituška falls into a village where she is found and cared for by a teacher named Václav. Svituška has only a few days to return to the sky or she will perish. She relies on Sirius to rescue her, but intrigues by Proxima keep him away. Each evening, Václav watches the princess skating on the frozen lake and harbors a secret love for her. One night, Svituška accompanies him and, upon seeing the princess, rekindles her own light, fueled by the power of Václav’s pure love for the princess. With Václav’s help, Svituška will survive until she can return to the heavens.

Olga is a complex young woman desperate to break free from her unfeeling family and social conventions. Betka's jealous friend and her boyfriend Robert decide to complicate everything with an unfair game. And while Danka and Kristián are looking for a way to finally settle down in the "turbulent waters of life," Kristián's father Láďa and Betka's charming aunt prove to the whole world that age is just a number. In addition, Kristián is waiting to right an old wrong, as advised by his best friend Lenka, and to find a "way" to his daughter Jitka.

What to do with life on an island threatened with rescue? Johanka is the owner of a café called Laputa, which—like the flying island of the same name from Gulliver's Travels—is her island. Will it be enough to make her feel complete and happy? Johanka explores what to do in the boundless space of adult life, at the beginning of which she finds herself. Her family is not very helpful, and the café guests each come with their own needs and selfishness—their characters are meant to be a reflection of their generation.
