The author's remake of the famous New Year's comedy is not an exact copy of the original. Festive mess in the same House of Culture, where they celebrated the New Year 50 years ago. Now the institution is named after Ogurtsov and is headed by Mr. Kabachkov. A young enthusiast Alyona Krylatova and a young man Denis Kolechkin work in the recreation center. Alyona, as she can, opposes the "arts" of the bureaucrat and opportunist Kabachkov, and Denis helps her.

New Year's Eve 2006. Our days, the place is a certain town, where famous artists are brought by chance. The film is based on sketches from popular films.

Famous actors and TV presenters Nikolai Fomenko and Ivan Urgant want to celebrate the holiday quietly and calmly, but, having lost their way, they end up in an enchanted house that does not let them out until the heroes believe in the New Year, a real fairy tale and a miracle, immersing themselves in the atmosphere of popular films.

A few Russian guys are trying to steal a new film by Quentin Tarantino, but not only to sell it, but to show the never-before seen film on a wedding of their friends. Certainly a lot of interesting stuff happens to them on their quest for the movie.

Based on the famous novel by Ilya Il'f and Yevgeniy Petrov this two-part-TV-movie tells the story of the of Ostap Bender and Kisa Vorobyaninov who are searching for hidden jewelry, hidden in one of twelve chairs by Vorobyaninov's aristocratic mother-in-law, to hide it during the revolution. But their priest, Father Fyodor found out about it and starts searching for the same chairs. During the movie the story is commented by the authors themselves who are writing it during the process.

Each of the short stories is based on either one or several stories by a wonderful Russian writer. The heroes are ordinary people “of the people”, contemporaries of Shukshin, all of whose life’s ups and downs are inextricably linked with their country - the Soviet Union of the 60s-70s. The main thing that unites both the works themselves and the films made is a whole gallery of the brightest images and characters, a story about such different destinies and differently meaningful lives, a story in the center of which is invariably Man, with his love, quests, weaknesses and victories.
