Pippa meets her ex-girlfriend Jael at a wedding party. The encounter triggers memories not only of the end of their relationship, but also of the trauma they experienced together. Since a queerphobic assault, Pippa has a post-traumatic stress disorder, which makes enjoying the here and now impossible. When Pippa has a panic attack, Jael and the group of friends manage to calm her down and Pippa understands that she can finally overcome her fears.

Red carpet, spotlights, screaming fans, photo- graphers chasing for the best photo, camera teams waiting for interviews - a premiere is about to take place and everyone’s eagerly awaiting to see Germany‘s biggest film star, Marvin Bosch. Smilla Witte (Maria Ehrich) always dreamed of working as a cook in her parents' excursion restaurant "Schneewittchen am See". But after the sudden death of her mother, Smilla literally fled from home ten years ago. After a long time Smilla wants to spend time in her old home again. But she can't last long at home without getting into an argument with her father Heinrich (Jürgen Tarrach). Of course, as so often, this revolves around Heinrich's new wife Regina (Andrea Sawatzki). Without further ado, Smilla stays with her friend Hedi (Hanna Plaß) earlier than planned. She lives together with her brother Victor (Jochen Schropp), his husband Lorenz (Lucas Reiber) as well as two mini pigs and two chickens on the "dwarf farm".

Toni and Marc want to divorce, because the great passion seems to be extinguished after 15 years of marriage. It should be a consensual separation, but the new beginning is not so easy: Both have just the chance of a job abroad.

Germany refuses to receive any more refugees. The only way to obtain citizenship is to survive the popular TV show 'Immigration Game'. Whoever participates as a 'Runner' will be abandoned on the outskirts of Berlin and must make their way to the television tower at Alexanderplatz. For a prize money every German citizen may chase and eventually kill the refugees entirely unpunished.

Lawyer Sienna can hardly believe her luck when her long-time partner and dream man Oscar proposes to her. Nevertheless, Sienna hesitates briefly because, unbeknownst to Oscar, Sienna is already married to her childhood sweetheart Tyler. Years ago, she left him head over heels after Tyler cheated on her. But on paper, they are still wife and husband. So Sienna travels to Cornwall to persuade Tyler to sign the divorce papers. But he wants something in return from his former partner. He is currently fighting for custody of his daughter Ivy, who was born out of the affair. Ivy's mother Naomi has since died. Sienna is supposed to pretend that she and Tyler have a happy marriage so that Ivy doesn't have to move in with her grandmother in the USA.

Andrew Christie runs the traditional Dolphin hotel in Cornwall, specialized in weddings and honeymoons, but competition from cheap holidays overseas becomes crushing. After his disloyal wife Nell deserts to apply as manager in the Maldives, their main tour operator intends to cancel, which would spell bankruptcy. Andrew comes up with a modern alternative, hosting traditional weddings for Indian couples. to sell the idea, he pretends to be backed by an Indian wife. To fill the part urgently, he enlists part-time maid Rajani Sharma, a, art student, whose father, banker Murali Sharma, wants to go ahead with her arranged marriage to Tarun, from India.
