When a bomb is placed inside a theatre during a show, the owner has to decide if he should go against the cops and empty the theatre. Instead, the cops want to defuse it without informing the viewers.

When the sole person to inherit the family wealth is missing, her grandmother desperately searches for her. A conniving relative, who also killed the girl's parents, finds a look-alike to help him gain the wealth.

Raja, an atheist, is constantly at a war of wits with his brother who is a firm devotee of a god man. When tragedy strikes, disturbing facts are revealed, leaving everyone shocked.

A young man Raghu sets up an explosive in a railway track to blow up a train. Raghu is a freedom fighter who wants to destroy the train in which British officers are travelling. He returns home after his successful attempt and is slammed by his rich father who is an ardent supporter of the British. Raghu insists that his country and its freedom are more important than anything. When police comes to arrest Raghu, his father hands him to them but Raghu's pregnant wife Parvati diverts the police and lets her husband escape. Raghu escapes in his bike and meets with an accident and is declared dead. Parvati gives birth to a son named Ashok and ten years pass by. She is away from her father-in-law and still in a belief that her husband is alive and shall come to them one day.

Sathyamoorthy is an innocent and honest hardworking villager. He helps Ashok, Rajan and their friend in a time of trouble, who offer him a lot of money in return. He insults them saying he did his duty and money isn't everything. However, fate plays a cruel turn making him desperate for money to treat his wife. He runs to them and they turn him into a criminal, much like them. He gains experience quickly, and soon usurps their dominance. His wife and son, Raja, however are unaware of his activities.
