Caio and Mari are two young people living in a relationship that goes beyond any definition. Over ten years, the plot transits between three striking moments where their desires conflict and their relationship is put to the test. The film, originated from the short film of the same name in 2006, proposes a reflection on sexuality, labels and how time constructs and transforms relationships.

São Paulo best friends Julia, Micaela and Diego enter their thirties entirely unprepared for the considerations of adult maturity. Julia has chosen to remain blind to the obvious signs that her current boyfriend is a two-timing cad, but her eyes are forced wide-open when she discovers that she is pregnant with his child. Diego is a party boy with daddy issues who can’t stay faithful to his sweet, dependable boyfriend. Micaela, meanwhile, is wasting her time chasing a bisexual actress who won’t even acknowledge their shared intimacy in private. As these three charismatic but troubled friends keep spinning their wheels, even their own chosen-family bonds get stress-tested to their breaking point.

Edgard works as a subordinate in the company of millionaire Werneck and is in love with Ritinha, a simple woman who works as a teacher to support her mother and her three sisters. One day, Peixoto, Werneck's son-in-law, makes him a proposal to marry Maria, the boss's daughter. The reason is that Maria was abused and now is being forced to marry by her family. Edgard hesitates first but accepts the offer. From then on he enters into a great doubt: should he deposit the check and marry Maria or stay with Ritinha, his great love?

João Lucas works at a video store and always ends up revealing the ending of films to customers. After being approached by a girl who always rents the same movie, the two eccentric characters start to argue about the true meaning of the plot and attract each other through their passion for cinema.
