The original Czech musical based on Alexandre Dumas' novel was followed by composer Karel Svoboda, Zdeněk Borovec, and Richard Hes, who built on the success of their previous musical, Dracula. The musical Monte Cristo was also performed at the Prague Congress Center and achieved an impressive 444 performances between December 13, 2000, and December 21, 2002, when the final performance took place. The show was seen by 600,000 viewers during that time. Thanks to the Czech Television recording, you too can be there. The musical took almost two years to create, and composer Karel Svoboda once again proved that he is one of our best musical creators today, with a tremendous sense of musicality. He relied on the excellent work of lyricist, librettist, and co-creator of the theme and script, the late master of words Zdeněk Borovec. Richard Hes was the co-creator of the theme and script and, most importantly, the choreographer.

Young knight Cyprian of Višně is long overdue for marriage, yet he refuses to even consider it. However, his cook Kunhuta cares deeply about his future, so she invites one bride after another to the castle. But Cyprian is friends with the castle ghosts—the headless knight, mischievous Cecilka, and the White Lady—and they willingly help him get rid of all the marriage-minded women. One day, their haunting scares Veronika, Kunhuta's niece, to death, but Cyprian suddenly becomes angry...

This loose sequel to the fairy tale Cyprián and the Headless Great-Great-Grandfather takes us back to the castle of Sir Cyprián of Višně, which used to be full of ghosts. Although they have been freed, they still do not leave their human friends... They live happily in the castle with Cyprián and his charming wife Veronika. There is also their mischievous son Vojtík, who spends his days playing with the ghost Cecilka and even leaves the human world for his friend. Will he return? Will he manage to protect the abandoned castle from thieves?

Children's games will affect the lives of two young women years later.

The hero of the story is a forty-something intellectual, a sensitive composer of classical music. His exclusive profession, his work, which is actually incomprehensible to those around him, and his deep inner passion set him apart from the conformist milieu. Therefore, he tries to search for the "lark's silence" - a new strength, purity, truth, essence and roots of Czechism. However, on his return from the oppressive, alienated big city to his native village, to his former home, to nature, a deep disillusionment awaits him: he discovers that the once idyllic village has lost not only its face, but also any manifestation of spiritual life in its foolish attempt to resemble the city.

In the loose sequel to the fairy-tale comedy "How about a wedding, prince?" you will meet again with Prince David and his wife Běla. Both are looking forward to the baby that is about to be born to them. Prince David wants a son, the heir to the throne, and when a little girl purrs in the cradle, he cannot accept it. It will take him a while to take his daughter under his wing.
