The first of a very short series, since it would become a TV series in 1949, based on the radio program that ran on CBS from 1944 through 1949. The premise of the program was intended as a satire and parody version of the "intellecutual" quiz shows on radio in the 40's, such as "Information Please" and "The Quiz Kids."

Professor Pierre Ginsbairge, an instructor at a success school, tells his class that nothing falls from the sky into their laps. On his way out, a safe falling from an upper-story window, nearly drives him into the sidewalk. Uninjured, but learning that the safe-owning company is insured, he claims to be injured and is sent to the hospital.There, he is mistaken for a look-alike famous surgeon and is in a jam when the surgeon arrives and finds Pierre making love to his wife, the nurse.

Sally Newton is in love with Lee Sullivan, a young tenor singer with Johnny Johnson's Orchestra, but her father prefers a stuffy young clerk as her suitor. She makes him taker her to the nightclub where Lee sings. Lee has arranged for Sally to elope with him, his song "Let's Take It on the Chin" being the signal for her. But the clerk has hired a tough gangster to keep Lee from singing.

Newlywed Harry Gribbon brings his wife home to meet his country family which includes their perspective choice for a daughter-in-law.

In a burlesque of the radio program "One Man's Family", Tim pays a visit to his fiancée, Irene Carr, to meet her family. He is ignored, insulted and relieved of his cash for a raffle in which he is not allowed to participate, and is finally deserted when Irene and all of her family walk out of the house and leave him all alone. This happens after two of her cousins stage a wrestling match, and a food-fight at the dinner table.

George wants to marry Lena Schmidt but her father disapproves. Tom calls on old man Schmidt to fix things up for his friend George. He calls on the wrong Schmidt, who also has a daughter named Lena, and the two think Tom is there to ask for her hand for himself. Arrangements are made for a marriage but Tom and George think the intended bridegroom is George, as George does not know the wrong Schmidt was approached by Tom.

Two criminals hear about a woman who has won a prize in the lottery, and decide to kidnap her to force her to give them the money. Unfortunately, they don't know that the prize she won amounted to $50.

Frank Luther was a famous country music singer back in the 1930s. As a result of this success, he was able to make a few films. There isn't a ton of plot in this short and what plot there is seems to be an excuse for all sorts of musical performances.
