
Francisco Canaro, artistic name of Francisco Canarozzo (b. November 26, 1888 in San José, Uruguay - d. December 14, 1964 in Buenos Aires, Argentina), was an Uruguayan tango composer, violinist, orchesta director and producer, nationalized Argentine in 1940. He is widely considered one of the most important musicians in the history of Tango.
