A Young Adult Embarks on a Perilous Journey to Find His Father Who Had Been Exiled from His Community and Joined a Mercenary Outfit as a Medic.

A detective agency gives a complex smuggling case to the seemingly absent-minded PI Boetie Flenters - never thinking he will solve it. Monica Terblanche (alias Hester Smith) is blackmailed to smuggle diamonds by Da Silva (aka Hennie Gous) and his accomplice. In return, she will receive the negative of an incriminating photo of her father. The investigation takes Boetie to the village of Geenfontein. When he bungles things he is fired and takes jobs as a bus conductor, hospital porter, lifeguard, lounge singer and plumber. Then he meets Hester, who explains her predicament, and they decide to work together.

During the 1960s the Afrikaans radio service of the South African Broadcasting Corporation presented a series on the adventures of a super secret agent, Staal Burger, a character created by the well-known SABC broadcaster Fanus Rautenbach. "STAAL BURGER" had an enormous following among listeners - the rich playboy with an eye for a pretty girl, his fast cars and his straight-punching way with the bad guys. Daan Retief, who played the role of Staal Burger in the radio series, reprises his role for the movie. He is assisted by Staal's sidekicks, Willem (Sarel Breed) and Dada (Miems de Bruyn).

A small town in desperate need of more tourists discovers it was never officially incorporated into the surrounding country, so it declares independence. All goes well until someone decides they need a king. Set in South Africa.

An innocent Afrikaans farm girl goes to the city and gets herself pregnant out of wedlock.
