Thieves steal a large shipment of gold in mainland China before being robbed themselves. The detectives investigating the case follow the thieves to Hong Kong and team up with an undercover officer to retrieve the gold and apprehend the criminals. But when one of criminals turns out to be a childhood friend of one of the cops, things get complicated.
