It's 1987, the final act of the Maxi Trial in Palermo, the largest criminal trial in Italian history. On this occasion, eight jurors, four women and four men, are locked in a deliberation chamber for thirty-six days. Their task is to determine the convictions or acquittals of 470 defendants accused of mafia crimes.

Sicily, summer 1990. Two young boys, sons of ardent communists, run away from home to re-found the Pioneers, the glorious and now extinct scouts of the Party. But not everything goes according to their plans.

The lawyer Pio has the personality of an earthworm. The priest assigns him, as a driver, the rather prejudiced Amedeo, rough manners and unlikely clothes. The second will wake up the first.

Nina is 13 years old and has an incredibly messy family. Set in 1978 Milan, Bravo lives his life among luxury clubs and illegal gambling dens in the company of his friend Daytona. Bravo defines himself as an entrepreneur. His business is women - because he sells them. The life of a women salesman is not an easy one, though. The meeting with Carla and a night in the town will change his life forever. Bravo will have to go through his painful past and fight the ultimate battle.
