The autumn of 1993. In an attempt to puzzle out the death of a famous film director and save the unfinished movie “Boris Godunov” the enamored protagonists fail to notice the moment when they become part of the historical events which will forever change their lives.

Single mother Maria lives with her son and daughter in a science city, which is being prepared for liquidation. She believes that her physicist husband, who disappeared six years ago during a scientific experiment, is somewhere nearby — just in another dimension. A former colleague of her husband arrives in the city in search of the missing person's records, and Maria has a boyfriend-trucker Stas, ready to take her away with her children and start a new life together. Faced with a choice, a woman can not decide to leave her invisible husband.

Parents lock their son at home for re-education. He is 38 years old. He is the mayor.

When the grown-up Minka goes to visit his sister Lyolya, now an adult woman with two children living in their childhood home, everything along the way reminds him of funny stories from the past. But he does not know that as a result of the pranks of her "stuffed" twins Petya and Fedya, Lyola is in serious trouble ...

Andrey Kulikov goes to Paris to visit the grave of his great-grandfather, Andrey Dolmatov, who had been an officer in the White Army during the Russian Revolution. On the headstone of the grave next to his great-grandfather's, he notices the face of a young woman. Later, while walking through Paris, Andrey sees a woman, Vera, who looks just like the young woman he had seen on the headstone. And so begins the telling of two love stories, separated by three generations and one hundred years.
