Iskui, an Armenian girl, comes to Istanbul to attend university. She quickly falls in love with Mert, whom she meets in Istanbul. A revolutionary group of 5 is forced to leave the country after a riot. They manage to arrange a fisher boat with which they plan to flee to Bulgaria from Turkey via the Black Sea. Şefik, a successful soldier, is one of the leading figures of the Committee of Union and Progress. When Abdulhamid II declares a constitutional monarchy, Şefik and his friends go to Istanbul.
