Kamila, a general practitioner on the verge of retirement, takes care of her parents - her 90-year-old dad and Alzheimer's-stricken mum. She accompanies them in the final stages of their lives. In doing so, she is aware of her own mortality and the fact that there is no one who will support her in the future to the same extent.

Kňoura, Josefa, Janata, Kačera, and grandson Tomáš are in for a trip they will never forget. A helicopter flight, sleeping under the stars, dinner at a posh restaurant, a race with a Formula 1 driver, but also fun on the merry-go-round.

A battle over a family inheritance breaks out among the main characters of the comedy. Their ideas about what to do with it vary. A quirky widow full of life sees it one way, while her repeatedly divorced daughter, unemployed son, and his ex-wife see it another.

Friends and college classmates Petr and Mirek meet Katka, a student at the art academy. Petr falls in love with the charming painter, but Katka ultimately chooses Mirek. Their brief romantic relationship is interrupted by an argument and Mirek's internship abroad. Petr uses this as an opportunity to offer Katka a family and emotional foundation. After some time, when the two are living together in one house with her parents and Petr is patiently enduring the hardships of dependent cohabitation, Mirek suddenly returns from abroad. His unexpected visit only confirms Katka's belief that her marriage to Petr and her unsuccessful attempts to conceive a child are not fulfilling her.

Martin Ivánek, who has just been dismissed from his position as head physician, has a valid passport and an exit visa to the United Kingdom. He has made up his mind. But! The story of fifteen-year-old Renata, who lives in a small apartment with her divorced parents, takes place during the socialist era of the 1980s. Not only does she have her own problems appropriate for her age, but she is also disgusted by her parents' constant arguments, who willingly involve her in all their intimate matters. She takes revenge on them by getting into more and more trouble. She gets drunk, listens to Radio Free Europe, and rebels somewhat clumsily against the political situation. But when things get really bad, she allows herself to be rescued by her father, a member of the secret police, with a mixture of admiration and contempt. Weaned on this confused world of adults, she clumsily stands on her own two feet. Only when she falls in love with a boy she doesn't want at a dance and loses her virginity to a boy she doesn't really know, only after various emotional escapades, does she find a certain indulgence for her eternally quarreling parents...
