Meanwhile, the coach wants to see them on the field again. Unfortunately, Marek and his friend are excluded from the team until they improve their academic performance. The embittered boy spreads the news at school that Markoniec sold the match and therefore got rid of the best players. Mark also has serious problems at home. His is facing a major operation. The mother is having an affair with a married man.

Peter and Bozena are studying medicine, they love each other and want to be together. The girl, after a dramatic experience, breaks off contact with her parents and moves out. With the help of a friend, the young couple manages to rent a small apartment. However, their life is not going well. Peter begins to cheat on Bozena. Accidentally met Joe slips the girl a drug. One time was enough for Bozena to go in search of an illusory land of happiness - Alabama, which does not exist. However, the girl finds out too late.

They do not try to understand his needs, have no idea about his dreams, problems. Marek falls into severe depression. In the doctor's office, Marek notices a cat. He is awakened by the overwhelming desire to have his own pet - a longed-for friend. Of course, the parents do not even want to hear about it. Marek secretly, for buying pocket money, he buys a cricket - a creature that is small enough to hide from the eyes of his parents.

1929: The little girl Józia has to go a few days without her mother, who is traveling abroad for political reasons. Another story is told to the neighbors after Józia visits her relatives in the country. But 10 days can be an eternity for a small child.
