Ali is a journalist who conducts unsubstantiated interviews. While taking photographs for a story about aliens, he comes across a flying saucer. Out of it comes Homoti from the planet Homon. Homoti does not want Ali to report on him because he does not want to be recognized in the world. However, when journalists soon learn of his existence, they compete for the news. Homoti will have to use her special powers.

Ibişo is a servant working for a wealthy and powerful landowner. One day, he distributes all of the cruel landowner's fuel reserves to the villagers for free. Some time later, Ibişo rises from servant to member of parliament.

Based on Güner Sümer's play, Bozuk düzen tells the story of four children (Erol Keskin, Nedret Güvenç. Ekrem Bora and Salih Güney) trying to survive difficult relationships and situations they are involved in.

Fıstık and Mıstık are two individuals who are unable to find steady employment and engage in various temporary jobs. Fıstık is engaged to Mıstık's sister, Gönül. Gönül is tired of looking after these two vagabonds and wants to get married as soon as possible. Fıstık will obtain the money he needs to get married from Piliçyan, a Jewish woman. To this end, Mıstık introduces himself as Mıstıkyan, marries Piliçyan, takes her dowry, and runs away with Fıstık. However, their plans will not go as expected.

Abbas, a widower, lives with his three children and his sister Zarife, who sings in a nightclub. Abbas is in love with Cemile, who works at the same store. Cemile, who feels sorry for Abbas and acts friendly toward him, giving him hope, is in a relationship with Zeki.

Based on a comic novel, this Turkish fantasy movie shows some resemblance to Casper.

After the release, Iki Gemi Yanyana (Two Ships Side by Side) stirred controversy over its treatment of lesbians, showing two women kissing each other on the lips (later, in Dul BirKadın (A Widow), director Atıf Yılmaz took up the same theme again). This scene creates a moment of interest in this otherwise conventional film.

Osman is the son of factory owner Rüknettin Bey. Rüknettin Bey started his business career as a traveling salesman and quickly rose to become one of the wealthiest men in the country. His wife Bedia aims to take control of the entire fortune by marrying their son Osman to a girl from her own family. Fed up with his son Osman's womanizing ways, Rüknettin Bey tells him to choose the girl he wants to marry within a month. While the girls from Bedia's family circle around Osman, Rüknettin Bey's niece, nicknamed "Barut Fıçısı" (Gunpowder Barrel), also has her eye on Osman.
