16-year-old Andrian lives in Transnistria. At school he has problems with his peers, and at home with his parents. Andrian, who used to sing in the church choir, secretly dreams of ditching everything and going away with a friend to Italy, which he sees as a symbol of freedom from the present hopelessness. But there comes the Holy Week which will forever change his life.

A Moldovan and a Croatian industrial painters are working on a deserted pier in Rotterdam’s harbor when they discover a dead body floating in the water. Not in a position to call the police, they try to come up with an alternative solution while continuing their daily work.

The story is about two old men. One day they are invited to a friend’s wedding. On the wedding day, not knowing what present to give, they randomly decide to take the sofa from the courtyard. They steal a car, get the sofa on the top and hit the road. Little do they know, about the troubles this sofa would cause them.

Nineteen-year-old Viorel lives with his mother in a remote Moldovan town. He has no great ambitions nor any illusions about life. He and his pal Goos earn a little cash through illegal activities, and Viorel is helping him fulfill his dream of flying. His mother tries to convince him to find a decent job. Eventually, Viorel begins taking control of his life.
