The story is based on the true story of a Lviv antique collector who collaborated with the KGB in the postwar years in Western Ukraine. The property seized from the masters was deposited in his collection and, at his will, after the owner's death, was transferred to the Hermitage.

Love strengthens and makes wiser Yulka, who has lost her way in life. She wants to make her own life on the outskirts of a big city. Shurka Kuksa and Kolya the fisherman help Yulka build a house in exchange for certain services. Kolya the fisherman is married, with a mother-in-law and a modern wife at home, but he is drawn to this simple woman...

The action is set at the start of the twentieth century, between a village by the River Dnyepr and the coast of Florida. While the story has ironic, romantic and sometimes mystic angles, the bitter aspects of emigration from the Ukraine to the United States become clearly visible.

The end of the 19th century. Grigory Petrovich Tsybukin, a prominent rural bourgeois, is famous for his wealth and stinginess. His whole life revolves around increasing his capital, but money does not bring happiness to his family, only problems.

In a small Ukrainian village Rudivka, where a rumor begins to circulate that the Second Coming is nigh and that the Messiah is already somewhere in the region, lived the twins. Local people were considering them being one person. The people had got scared, when one of the brothers was killed. They thought that supernatural forces took the law into their own hands. The thought pushed people to committing the terrible deeds. The guesswork brings serious consequences.

Based on the play by Volodymyr Vynnychenko. A married couple, Korney (Polar Bear), an artist, and his wife, Rita (Black Panther), live in Paris. Korniy's job is to paint for a salon. Their son Lesik is seriously ill. Rita persuades her husband to sell one of his paintings in order to use the money to treat her son. Kornii strongly disagrees. He forces his wife and sick son to pose for a new painting...

The TV series is devoted to the topic of the artist's responsibility for every word he writes. In the center of the plot is the wandering of an artist-journalist of a Kyiv newspaper. He faces a number of internal problems: how to get along in a big city, the existence of true love and finding the answer to the eternal question - "Who am I?" External events echo the psychological crisis of the main character. In search of himself, he travels to the villages of the Kherson region that were flooded to create reservoirs - somewhere under the water column is his parents' native village, a metaphor for Ukrainian culture and historical memory mutilated in the 20th century. The man's concerns are closely related to the surrounding world: the atmosphere of the film reproduces the confusion of the entire nation: "What will happen next, after communism and its ideology?" In the yard, everything points to the imminent collapse of the perestroika.
