Mirko suffers from nightmares as he struggles to cope with the recent loss of his father. His mother, Vesna, is finding it difficult to manage as a single parent, but increasingly seeks support and friendship from their kind neighbor, Jova. As Vesna and Jova grow closer, Mirko’s disapproval becomes more aggressive, and his lack of self-control strains his relationship with his mother. The situation shifts when Mirko’s childhood friend Marina arrives in the village for the summer holidays. The emotions that develop between them seem to fill the emptiness in Mirko’s heart. Through these new experiences, Mirko begins to see his mother with eyes full of understanding.

Anna, a young photojournalist from Berlin, travels to Serbia to make a photo documentary about refugees. Upon her arrival to Belgrade, Serbia's capital, Anna finds out that she can't go about her task the way she had planned. Through the cabdriver Dzeki, she meets the distrustful but interesting young refugee Maja who works at a nearby fast food restaurant. Miserable with her life in Serbia, Maja dreams of a new beginning somewhere abroad. In an attempt to successfully finish her project, Anna starts photographing Maja, secretly making a documentary about her. Blinded by the wish to change her life, Maja doesn't realize Anna's true intentions.

Ringeraja is a movie about two brothers, Ringe and Raja. One of them is a criminal, while the other one is a graduate student - two different worlds. The criminal is trying to please his girlfriend's father, so he asks his brother to switch roles. He is going to pretend to be a student, and the real student has to act like a criminal.
