Middle-class Karli, alcoholic Jane, unemployed Jackie, and square Ellen are four friends living together and barely scraping by in suburban Sydney. After his troopship is sunk in 1942, John Sullivan is saved by members of the Yugoslav group, the Chetniks. He is later sold to the opposing group, The Partisans. This is his life as a medic in civil war-torn Yugoslavia. A TV movie spin off from The Sullivans (1976).
