Michalis and Filippos work in a garage and dream of the good life. One day, they decide to take the car of a businessman, Aristeidis, who is away in Paris for a few days. At a night club, they bump into Mitsi, Mr. Aristeidis’ daughter, and Michalis pretends to be the rich businessman. The girl, although she suspects the truth right away, likes them and invites them over to her house.

Madame X (Greek title: I Agnostos) is a 1954 Greek drama film directed by Orestis Laskos. It is based on the 1908 play by French playwright Alexandre Bisson (1848-1912). Thrown out of her home by a jealous husband, a woman sinks into degradation. Twenty years later, she is charged with killing a man bent on harming her son. The son, unaware of who the woman is, takes the assignment to defend her in court.

Christina is ugly but honest, while Chrysoula is beautiful, but scandalizes the neighborhood with her provocative behavior. First fully sound-synchronized Greek motion picture. The film was shot in Constantinople by the director of the National Turkish Theatre, Muhsin Ertugrul with a script by Grigorios Xenopoulos, based on his novel by the same name. It was shown as one of the first contemporary Greek films to include full sound and conversation.
