The story revolves around a family of several men and their wives who were living a happy happy life, until the doorbell rang one night to find a baby left behind behind the door and accompanied by a letter indicating that the child's father is from this family without identification, which raised the suspicions of the wives in their husbands.

In a social drama framework, the events of the film revolve around when Kamal falls seriously ill, and hides the matter from everyone. He gets to know the widow Hayat, who works in a nightclub and is coveted by the manager Rashid. A love story arises between Kamal and Hayat, and their lives.

Abbas is a young Muslim man who studies engineering. He is caught between two extremes: his ideas, which see religion as restricting freedoms, and his religious father, who pushes him to practice religious rituals by force. Abbas loves his Christian neighbor Yvonne, but the difference in faith prevents them from marrying. On the other hand, his cousin Laila loves him and is in a constant state of dialogue with him.

Actress Sanaa Kamel is found murdered on her bed, and an investigation starts, taking into account everyone of the guests she hosted at her apartment the night she was killed: her jealous fiancé, a school instructor, a corrupt market manager, one of Sanaa's friends who works as a contractor, and a stud who was Sanaa's secret lover. As the investigation progresses, all the conclusions about the characters are always under question.
