In order to make a good impression on her new boss at a work party, Léa Faber, a young single woman devoted to her job, leads everyone to believe that she is married to Yann, the pianist at the party whom she has just met. He decides to play along.

Frédérique Letheil, who heads the research department of the Emmerson oil group, has sacrificed her private and sentimental life to her experiments.
