The story of two young people from wealthy families who are looking for their own individual identities. Ramona (Lydia Kandou), who hates the patriarchal attitude men have toward women, immerses herself in the lives of the less fortunate people around her. Ramadhan (Djamal Mirdad), who is descended from Malaysian nobility, is in Jakarta gaining work experience as a low level company employee. The two young people meet in Jakarta and begin to like each other. The blossoming romance between these two young people who are each keeping their backgrounds secret from the other conveyed in a light and humorous tone. Eventually, however, they find out about each others' backgrounds. Ramona backs off, while Ramadhan continues to pursue her.

Police Lieutenant Iskandar (Kelly Kalyubi) joins a doctor’s mission to a village but he's really there to investigate the mysterious deaths of several men who were found with snake bites on their necks. The early victims were all men who'd recently had sex with the village "black widow" Wulan (Giselawaty), but then people not even associated with her start turning up dead.

An oplet (a small taxi) driver, Tarno, never feels that he earns enough in his village. So he decides to try his luck in the city and leaves his wife and child at home. His luck doesn’t change much until he starts working as a personal driver. But he then realises that he is working for the boss of a drug syndicate. As he refuses his boss’s order to sleep with Mira, he is locked up. Luckily his friend, who brought him into the syndicate, helps him to escape. Meanwhile, Rose takes her child to look for him to Jakarta. She wanders aimlessly and leaves her child in an orphanage. Fortunately, she is found by a group of street musicians who stumble upon her when she is about to be raped. Rose joins the group because she has a singing ability. Then the leader of The Brims Band discovers her and she becomes an even more popular singer.

The film tells a story about Nyi Anis who uses black magic because she is vengeful towards her husband who has thrown her out of the house. The condition for the black magic is that she has to sacrifice a baby every full moon. She becomes the pretty Nyi Mayang. Her husband is willing to take her back. Trouble arises when her black magic teacher dies and she cannot return to her original form. The villagers then defeat her using prayers.

Three bachelors establish a service center for women, initially intended for sex, but instead it becomes a multi-purpose service agency. There is a grandmother who asks them to read comic books to her; there is also a woman who wants them to wash her carpets. But one of them always gets the most enjoyable part, which is the sex service for lonely women, or even to torture them by request. He also gets a girlfriend, who lives in Singapore, and accepts his profession.

Kabayan proposed to Iteung. He was initially rejected but eventually tied the know. After the wedding, Kabayan's laziness was eventually revealed causing Iteung to leave to the city because of embarassment. Issues such as kidnapping and blackmailing involving Iteung came up as Kabayan was looking for her.

The bizarre Arif family usually stay holed up in their old house... for good reason! The clan includes a daughter who's nearly catatonic during the day but a nympho at night, a son who's a violent bully, another son who's a sex maniac and a psychologically abusive matriarch who's both an aunt and a stepmother to the children because she murdered her own sister and then married her brother-in-law. A psychology student who's looking into matters has his work cut out for him.

Attraction at first sight, makes Hendrawansyah (Sophan Sophian) continue to pursue Maryani (Widyawati). He did not back down even though he later found out that his girlfriend was a prostitute, even when he had to face shame in front of respectable people and his father, Datuk Sulaiman (Kusno Sudjarwadi).

Because of her childlessness, married woman takes her best friend’s suggestion to pretend pregnancy and then adopts her child. Unfortunately the secret is then found out by the scum, who terrorizes and extorts her for escalating amounts of money.

After a long absence, Siti returns to her childhood village to stay with her widowed aunt Nyi Aminah. Siti quickly becomes suspicious of her aunt’s newfound wealth after she sees a necklace that belongs to someone else in her aunt’s closet. Meanwhile, Sulaiman is given the assignment of investigating the deaths of voluptuous women with wounds found on their breasts, plus find out what became of some missing corpses.
