The people are divided into two groups: supporters of the Sultan and supporters of Mustafa Kemal. In addition to those who have crossed over to Anatolia, there are also many secret supporters of the National Forces in Istanbul. Müjgan is the daughter of Süleyman Sırrı Pasha. Talip is one of the volunteers of the Kuva-yi Milliye movement in Istanbul. Talip befriends Müjgan in order to access information through her father. However, Müjgan realizes Talip's true identity and intentions. Upon this realization, Müjgan voluntarily helps Talip. However, this help leads to the beginning of a love affair between the two.

Bülent makes a living as a musician. He and Semra, who gives piano lessons to his brother, are in love. However, Semra's father, Nuri Bey, and Sevim separate the couple. Bülent eventually becomes a famous musician. Semra, on the other hand, falls into poverty after her father is swindled. Years later, confessions from Nuri Bey and Sevim reveal the truth. However, there is another obstacle preventing the couple from reuniting.

With Serçe Zeki as his guide, he travels all over Anatolia to find the document. Azize is a blind girl with a beautiful voice. She joins a traveling troupe to escape the abuse of her alcoholic stepfather. She joins this troupe on their Anatolian tour. Boncuk Ayşe is a mother who lost her children in the great earthquake and travels from city to city searching for them by selling trinkets. These people, who set out for various cities in Anatolia, occasionally cross paths. In one of these encounters, a murder committed by someone tracking their trail will unravel the web of relationships.
