A young boy in Cuba finds himself in mortal peril as his fishing village gets infiltrated by malign forces.

Germany, the 1930s. A young scientist, Professor Johannes Werner discovers rays of life-giving power. The scientist refuses to give up his invention for military use and, breaking the equipment, runs to the USA, where he hides for a long time under the name of Martini. One day, after being invited to a military industrial concern to see a new European invention, Werner meets his former pupil Huber. Huber, a traitor and fascist, has restored the professor's apparatus according to stolen plans and is demonstrating it as his own invention. Werner rejects the proposal for joint cooperation and, at a meeting in the hall of scientific associations, reveals his real name and resolutely reveals the criminal intentions of the revanchists.

Shortly before the December uprising of 1825, officer Pavel Bestuzhev was exiled to a distant northern garrison for insolence. Soon, he gets a chance to help a wounded Decembrist who intends to cross the border. Bestuzhev saves the fugitive and his beloved at the cost of his own life…

Mergen, an engineer, returns to Tuva, dreaming of working for its betterment. Tuva is developing, with new houses and electricity reaching remote areas. However, the chairman of the collective farm, Elbek, opposes building a bridge across the turbulent mountain river. Meanwhile, Adar, the son of old Kawai-ool, has forgotten his countrymen and stayed in the city. The old man tried to bring Adar home, but he refused. Adar’s fiancée, Oyunmaa, waits for him in vain, disliking the sycophantic Daji who courts her. But the old bridge was destroyed by water, forcing Elbek to agree to a new one. Adar also returns to Tuva, and his friends and fiancée welcome him joyfully.

Spring of 1917. Soldiers of the former Wild Division are returning to their villages. Anzor, a footman of Prince Naurbek, commander of the Kabarda regiment, finds poverty and ruin at home - his mother and many other villagers have fallen into bondage debts to Princess Zhansurat. Anzor goes to the prince and asks him to return his land - after all, he shielded Naurbek from enemy bullets in battle. Having received a handful of millet, Anzor returns to his place. Subsequent meetings with the Bolsheviks Kantemir and Mashuko, and then with Kirov himself, convince Anzor of the necessity to fight against the princes.

Chief accountant Porfiry Petrovich Smirnov-Alyansky, who took a good walk on the anniversary of his colleague cashier Ivan Zakharovich Vodnev, climbs into the traffic controller's booth and disrupts traffic on one of the streets of Leningrad. However, the guard Vasiliy Shaneshkin mistakenly delivers to the police station not an escaped offender, but a quite decent cashier. In addition, Vodnev, offended by the police, turns out to be the father of the bride Shaneshkin — Katya. Vasiliy admits his guilt, but, not daring to explain himself, leaves the angry Ivan Zakharovich with bad thoughts about the Soviet police. Fortunately, the young sergeant will soon have an opportunity to prove to others the responsibility and conscientiousness of the police officers.
