Rafael de Córdoba

A young ex-seminarian named José is doing his military service in Córdoba. There he meets Carmen, a beautiful flamenco dancer who falls madly in love, to the point that he steals to get money for her, so he will be imprisoned. José does not support the separation and, when he is driven by the Civil Guard on a train, he runs off by jumping out the window. He then left for Madrid in search of Carmen, who now lives in the company of his uncle, the lame, master of dancers. The woman welcomes José coldly, although they engage in a strange and tense relationship behind the back of El Morao, her former pimp, who lives with her again.

During the Napoleonic era, when Napoleon's army tried to complete the conquest of Spain and headed towards Cádiz, they met a cantaora from Cádiz (Rocío Jurado) in the streets. However, her outward joy is deceptive since the man she is in love with is the French captain Gustavo Lefevre (Germán Cobos), who has come to conquer Spain. This film made for television stars the singer Rocío Jurado ("En Andalucía nació el amor") and directed by Fernando García de la Vega ("Cinco minutos nada menos").

This tragic drama is based on the ballet by famed composer Manuel De Falla. A young woman is caught between the violent struggle of two rival suitors who love her passionately. Candelas (La Polaca) is pursued by kind-hearted Antonio (Antonio Gades) and the evil diablo Diego (Rafael Cordova). Lucia (Morucha) is the cryptic gypsy fortune teller, with Fernando Sanchez Polack as Candela's beloved father.

Shortly after moving to Madrid, a dancer is killed. His condition as a womanizer, in addition to his arrogance, makes us suspect that it is a crime of passion. As the investigation progresses, the doubts and jealousy of one of his neighbors threatens to ruin his family life.

Rosendo has an annoying habit: trying to fix everything that breaks at home. Suffering continues scorns from his wife and his horrible mother, decides to appear dead and then come back as his twin brother and thus win back the love of his family with the help of his friend Luquitas.
