The relationship between a younger painter and an older woman.

Based on Nicole Valery-Grossu's European best seller autobiographic novel "Bless you, prison", the film is a true story, with real events and characters. A young intellectual woman, Nicole is arrested. There follow three months of exhausting interrogation and isolation. Alone in a cell, she undergoes a spiritual experience similar to that of the great mystics.

In 1925 Romania, young Marie-Therese Von Debretsy refuses the flirtatious advances of her husband's commanding officer. As a result, the cosmopolitan family is reassigned to a brutally bleak and dangerous outpost on the Bulgarian/Romanian frontier where both their relationship and humanity are severely tested.

Inspired by Bedros Horasangian's series of short stories, the film focuses on the dissolution of a couple, seen from two perspectives. Episodes from the married life of a playwright mingle with their dramatized version, rehearsed on scene by a couple of actors, thus amplifying the communication issues and the distance between the partners. Featuring a simple and efficient mise-en-scéne, the film is built like a feminine monologue in two voices, counterpointed by the helpless, stubborn silence in which the two protagonists retreat.

Neagu's father appears unexpectedly as he and his family prepare to leave for vacation. He is having an argument with his wife, so his father, feeling unwelcome, leaves. split between his family and his father, he tries to make the best of it.

In a devastating story rife with visual metaphors, Romanian director Mircea Daneliuc traces the slow mental disintegration of a confirmed gambler, using his disorder as an allusion to a greater national and social disorder. Set in the 1930s, the middle-class gambler meets an elderly man who seems to bring him good luck at the gaming tables. Rather than treasure his friendship and the good fortune it brings, the gambler takes advantage of his friend, and by his actions drives the man to suicide. Unable to reconcile his own mental demons, the gambler wanders through the house of his dead friend, and his experiences there only serve to unsettle his mind more and more and more. In the last reels of the film, the fantasies of the hero's deranged mind take over.

On a cement factory construction site, the chief engineer reconnects with his ex wife, time to re-evaluate his life priorities.

Young Moldovan nobles try to overthrow King Mihail Sturdza. They plot an assassination and spread flyers. On this backdrop, there is a romance story between Franz Liszt, in tournament, and one of the noblemen's daughter, who is close to the plotters.

In New Year's Eve night, an emergency team is called to fix a tram power line. One member is missing though, he is involved in a DUI.
