Joseph Vilsmaier Two-part TV movie focuses on the tragic events surrounding the sinking of the Wilhelm Gustloff, a German passenger ship, at the end of World War II. On 30 January 1945, Captain Hellmuth Kehding was in charge of the ship, evacuating wounded soldiers and civilians trapped by the Red Army. Soon after leaving the harbor of Danzig, it was hit by three torpedoes from the Soviet submarine and sank in less than an hour.

Sensuous Eva keeps quite a few of the villagers on the go and likes to stir up trouble. The story begins at the airport in Bandung, an abstract, attractive city somewhere in Southeast Asia, where Czech tour guide Tomáš Egermaier witnesses the arrest of 21-year-old Patrik Lovický. It is only back in the Czech Republic that he learns that the man arrested had attempted to smuggle four kilograms of heroin out of Bandung. Egermaier's surprise is all the greater when he discovers a plastic bag with five videotapes for a camera on the conveyor belt at Ruzyně Airport. Together with Egermaier, we then watch the story of Patrik Lovický, his girlfriend Elena, and her mother Michaela on the videotapes.

Franziska's decision between career and family is made easier when her childhood friend Marie, an ambitious fashion designer, moves in with her to take care of the chaotic children together with her lively, lively mother-in-law Alma. When it turns out that Franziska and Marie are expecting a child by the same man, the women's relationship is put to the test.
