In a dystopian future, a totalitarian society called “Executors” ruled with an iron fist, each citizen assigned a number. Amidst this oppressive regime, a dissident hero emerged, determined to rebel against the spiritual slavery that bound them.

A film about the life and work of 19th-century Georgian writer Egnate Ninoshvili. Biographical moments from the writer's life are closely intertwined with the plots and characters of his own works.

Dying, the grandfather bequeathed to his grandson Luke to faithfully and truly serve the hero Vamekh, who, according to popular belief, should come and free the country from the oppression of the bloodthirsty vizier. Princess Twalta is also waiting for Vamekh's arrival - she must convey to him a family secret - a treasure, thanks to which Vamekh will become invulnerable. However, the vizier's mercenaries kidnap her from the monastery where Twalta was hiding. Luka, his friends, Bakur and Zaal, save the princess, but they themselves find themselves in an enemy trap. In the old abandoned fortress they will have to fight their last battle.

In order to escape from the dishonesty and falsehood of the city life, Nika decides to enter the school of the mountain village. But in the village too Nika sees nothing but the tedium and hopelessness. Only the howling of the wolves is heard around.

One day, a modest accountant, a resident of a seaside town, adopted a dog. The dog became attached to its lonely owner, but it soon became clear that the dog had been trained by its previous owner to steal things from unwary beachgoers. An honest man, yelled at the dog, but then came to terms with his friend’s shortcomings, and even began to encourage his dubious abilities.

An author - a passive young man - enters the Soviet-controlled bureaucracy of Georgia attempting to get his novel published only to be neglected and compartmentalized at every turn.

In a poor village, a farmer who goes to the field becomes ill and is brought home unconscious. Relatives and villagers come to visit him, to express compassion to his mother. But sympathy is accompanied by the fear that this illness will spread in their families as well.

Nodar, the man with a fickle character, leaves his wife and children in the village and goes to Kutaisi in search of his fortune. His friend Givi advises Nodar to return to his family, but Nodar wants to live in the city and will start working as a manager of a car factory dancer's circle.
