The third ring offers a whimsical glimpse into the future - or at least a future from the POV of the mid-20th century - with a plethora of zany postwar inventions. While none of the cartoons "of tomorrow" foresaw smartphones or DVD players, these far-fetched contraptions, gadgets, houses and farms, televisions, and various modes of transportation could only come from the madcap mind of Avery and his M-G-M crew. Uncut, restored and remastered in High Definition for the first time, Tex Avery Screwball Classics Collection Volume 3 is another must-own collection from the master of hand-drawn mayhem.

It's Fiesta Time in Mexico, so two little kids and a donkey have fun.

A dopey Pilgrim goes hunting a turkey who speaks in a Jimmy Durante impersonation and runs the local black market. War and rationing gags abound (Pilgrims line up behind a sign reading "Ye Cigarettes Today"), as well as a running gag featuring a bear wearing an "Eat at Joe's" sandwich sign. The turkey harnesses the power of gags to save himself.

Wild and Woozy West is another of the unsung cartoons from the Columbia studio of the '40s. It concerns the capture of the western wolf villain Angel Face, wanted dead or alive (perferrably dead). Among his list of crimes is "using naughty words".

Two rival families of chickens are arming in preparation for a battle in a property-line dispute over the division line between their two barnyard coops. After much fighting, squabbling and squawking between the two factions, two peaceful doves bring about a settlement between the two groups.

After his two brothers are captured, the third little pig invents a machine to capture the big bad wolf.

A hound chases a young rabbit, ultimately cornering him against a tree. But the dog doesn't want to eat the rabbit, just make friends. The bunny takes his new friend (who he names Sniffy) to where the rest of the rabbits are playing football and, after introductions, they join in. Soon a fox happens along.

A little boy (as pilot/crew/mechanic) and a little girl (the title air hostess) do their best to get a delapitated airplane airborne and take their full load of adult passengers to their destination. They fail spectacularly.
