Musical documentary focused on the iconic figure of singer and songwriter Antônio Moreira da Silva, also known as Kid Morangueira. Inventor of a way of singing called "samba de breque", at 70 he's in full shape, dressed in a white suit and panama hat, singing his best known songs at a number of places.

Marcelino, a country bumpkin, comes from the countryside to try his luck in Rio de Janeiro. He begins helping his uncle as a driver, but puts his own worries first: he goes to the nightclub looking for Mira, but finds himself caught up in Valentino's schemes.

Maria is a young woman who becomes a well-known crook in the bohemian district of Lapa, in Rio de Janeiro. She earns her living with little scams and tricks. Nevertheless, she is good-hearted, and that's why her latest cheat doesn't work at all.
