Yannick is a caregiver in a retirement home. Between permanent pressure and budget restrictions, he faces the lack of means with a contagious good mood. But when he is forced to share the dining room with a class of children, the situation becomes complicated. A series of seemingly unconnected events and 50 important speaking parts make this film a jigsaw puzzle to be solved by the viewer. Martin and Claire were separated in childhood, and are brought together by a series of coincidences. A tragic car crash is central to the story, but seemingly unimportant events can hold great significance. Through a montage of different film stock and techniques director Diane Bertrand creates pieces of a puzzle, from which the viewer has to piece together a story. One day, his friends entrust him with the sacred mission of fetching several barrels of Beaujolais Nouveau, supposedly belonging to an old countess with whom he is favored. To accomplish this quest, he is joined by the Captain, a former soldier disillusioned by life and its failures, and Kamel, an immigrant worker, all driven by the hope of the new wine and the dream of a collective adventure.
