An educationalist priest's attempt to promote literacy in a mountainous village is challenged by a brigade leader who views learning as a waste of time and a means to avoid actual work.

In 1937, neighbours would gather in the evenings to listen to the gramophone played by Daniela, a peasant who loved music. However, an insult from a fellow villager was enough to send the innocent Daniela to the Gulag on absurd charges.

Kazakhstan. 1954. Copper mines. Concentration camp. In the center of the plot - a revolt which prisoners raised in protest against the inhuman treatment.

A man, who becomes mistaken for his brother who was immigrating to Israel from USSR, finds himself caught up in the middle of a bureaucratic mess when he realizes that if he tells the truth about who he is, he will go to jail and his brother's family will never be allowed to leave the USSR. He therefore assumes his brother's identity to get to Israel hoping his distant uncle living there will help him out. The plan backfires, however, when he realizes that the uncle is a paranoid lunatic thinking the KGB is out to get him. He becomes stranded in Israel with no friends, no money, and no passport, trying to figure out a way to get back home.

Photographer Tazo has almost everything - an old apartment in old Tbilisi, and a lady of his heart, and work, and football... All that is missing for ultimate happiness is a TV.

The action takes place in one of the Transcaucasian republics in the sixties, where a campaign was launched to breed a new animal, the goat, descended from the mountain tour and the domestic goat.

The film's protagonist, a young journalist, returns to the village where he spent his childhood years years later. The village is almost deserted, and the last inhabitants are thinking about leaving for the bar. Gogi begins a fight to preserve the once populous and prosperous village.

Lado really wanted to prove to the guys that he was an “independent man.” One day he was left alone in the apartment. And Lado invited his playmates to rehearse a “yard theater” performance at his home. Mom's cosmetics were used, a curtain was made from window curtains, and a wooden toy horse was turned into a goat. Now the guys were able to verify Lado’s “independence”.
