XIX century peasants' revolt and the life story of bandit Arsena Odzelashvili.

The revolutionary struggle of the Georgian proletariat is the central theme of this story. The narrative follows the life and fate of a young revolutionary named Mito. After the Mensheviks disrupt a railway strike, Mito is sentenced to three years in prison, and his father is executed. During his time in prison, Mito shares a cell with an old Bolshevik, which transforms the hot-headed and unstable young man into a conscious Bolshevik. Soon, World War I begins, and Mito, who has just been released from prison, is sent to war.

When the communists decide to renovate the city and try to demolish a badly positioned church, the religious citizens decide to fight for what is holy to them.

Joto is a famous doctor in one of the villages of Abkhazia, although he hastened the lives of many sick people with his ignorance. After Joto's next victim, the village communes and the village council decide to build a hospital. Joto is against that idea, but his child's injury will make him change opinion.

Movie takes place in 1841 Georgia region of Guria, in where peasants are plotting the uprising against the Russian government.

A dead hen becomes a problem between two neighbor families in Ajara (west Georgia). That leads to drama; a young guy is killed in the next quarrel.

Two brothers, Turiko and Mgelia fall in love with the same girl and become each other's merciless enemies. The brothers decide to draw lots, the winner must kill the loser and marry the woman.
