The story of Enrique Herreros (1903-1977), cartoonist, advertiser, poster designer, talent manager, actor, producer and filmmaker, and the most daring of mountaineers; the man who, along with his companions from the so-called “other Generation of '27,” brought Hollywood to Madrid's Gran Vía, turning a grey and sinister post-war city into the capital of an incipient and ambitious cultural industry.

In this lighthearted crime comedy, Nicolas is a Barcelona ice cream vendor who inadvertently helps a friend who has just committed a robbery. He is chased by several shady underworld characters trying to get their hands on the stolen loot.

A news story in the newspapers announces the investigation by the police of a major scam. Precisely, following the steps of the author of that crime, we will know the cabaret where the whole action of this drama will take place. A place where the paths of a multitude of characters cross and where it is possible to find men and women of great humanity.

In the Madrid beginning of the 20th century two young people try to make it as artists: Elena intends to succeed in the music world and Pablo wants to become a famous painter.

A young musician and dreamy, called "Ernesto", is forced to live in Madrid to die his father, in the house of executor of the testament, "don Julio Villamil", who is married to actress Teresa Labisbal, of which "Ernesto Acedo" was enamored platonic. Although the conduct of the young is flawless, a third person causes slander which oblige "don Julio" to fight in mourning to death.

Adaptation of the operetta of the same title. Mari Pepa, who works as a laundress, has gone to live in the neighborhood courtyard house, which is also tenant Felipe, who courted.

In the late nineteenth century, Miguel Velasco, the son of a wealthy Spanish immigrant established in Mexico, comes to Madrid, where he falls in love with Celia, a chorus girl working at the Apollo theater.

Following his father's steps, Juan Lucas becomes the most famous highwayman in Sierra Morena mountains, also helping local resistance against Napoleonic troops. In love with Ana, a Count's daughter, his hopes seem to have no future.

Filiberto Aguirre abandons his career as captain of the merchant navy because he has well-founded hopes of receiving a great inheritance. But time goes by, the inheritance does not arrive and his family's economic situation worsens every day.
