The film tells the story of a retired physics professor who meets a man who is thinking about ending his own life.

Biela, a humble young woman, born and raised in an isolated farm, is brought to a small town to live with her bourgeois cousins, her only relatives. Once in town, she encounters great difficulty adapting to city life.
