This Danish movie "Out of The Darkness" ( in Danish 'De Forbandede år 2' ) is a continuation of the popular WW II drama "Into The Darkness" ( in Danish 'De forbandede år' ) and it portraits the Danish Resistance movements fight. This movie takes place after 1943 where the official politic of 'corporation' comes to an end, and the Danish Resistance movement is gaining traction. The movie follows the Skov family from 1943 to the end of WWII. The growing opposition to the occupation and the increased brutality of the Germans have fatal consequences for the family.

Karlskov is a self made, successful owner of a large electronics factory, has a wife and five children. They live the good, privileged upper-class life on Strandvejen north of Copenhagen when the Nazis occupy Denmark in April 1940. Karl struggles to continue production at the factory, but to protect his family and employees he reluctantly begins to produce for the German market. It brings him into a controversial collaboration with the occupying power and causes painful breaks in the family.

In the bleak winter landscape of Denmark, two social workers find a young woman, alone in the woods. But there is something troubling about her; she doesn't speak and her eyes fill everyone around her with angst. As her presence start to creep into everyone around her, they start to second guess, whether taking her away from the woods, was a good idea.

In a small, narrow-minded provincial town, we find undertaker Vilfred Kierkegaard, who runs the town's funeral home together with his young orphaned nephew, Mike. But in the provinces, everything moves a little slower, and the same goes for deaths. The funeral home is on the verge of bankruptcy, and Mike's involvement in the local amphetamine trade only creates more problems. Soon, the town's three bullies seek out the bankrupt undertaker couple. With death threats and an empty bank account, Vilfred and Mike fight hard to survive.

Herluf lives a complacent life with his wife Inger-Lise. Their daily routines are only interrupted by their daughter's marriages, the third now about to take place. But Herluf's problems are more serious than an indecisive daughter, his wife is cheating on him and he's started forgetting things at work. And one day Herluf doesn't return home.

In a quirky, small town, situated in the outskirts of everything, 14-year-old Martin is getting ready for one of the most formal transitions from boy to man; the communion. It's 1976, music's in the air and hormones are blossoming. But in the midst of it all Martin's mother suddenly passes away and her tragic death trickers a series of events that not only changes Martin's life forever, but also affects everyone else in the local community. Overwhelmed with grief neither Martin's dad, nor his older brother, is capable to comfort Martin. He enters adulthood in a mixture of drunken happiness and immense sadness over the loss of his mother, and his relationship to both his friend Kim and girlfriend Kristine comes to its natural conclusion.

Four girls in rehab is on tour from their treatment centers and it becomes their life stories. The girls run off in a stolen Volvo and soon learns to know the freedom of good and evil. Both the fantastic feeling to be master of its own destiny, but also the heavy feeling of responsibility when you have to figure out what to do with his life. Before long, the girls learn that they can not continue

Wanting to start a fresh, Katrine moves from the province into a dormitory in Copenhagen and enrolls at the University. But when she crosses conniving Sanne by getting together with Sanne's ex, all hell breaks loose. Sanne and her friends frighten Katrine with an old myth surrounding the ghost of a former resident. Yet the myth very soon becomes reality.

The tale of a troubled small town, and the brave few who made it their mission to keep the community together. As the citizens of a secluded Danish town gradually lose their trust in one and other, the sight of a naked man walking through town in the early hours of the morning sets off an unsettling wave of paranoia.

A drama about a boy who's inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and challenges repressive school authority in 1969 Denmark.
