Mio Noda

Hino Mitsunari runs evening classes at a high school attended by foreigners, the elderly, and students struggling with various difficulties. The lessons are called “Community Ball” and involve everyone, including the teacher, sitting in a circle and thinking together on a question under the rule that no one should argue while someone is speaking. The various perspectives of the students all inform the film.

This project, a fusion of poetry, music, and movies, gives birth to a new style of filmmaking, through the work of five directors.

On the last day of the Heisei era, Teru visits Reika to make a life-changing choice. As friends around them choose what to carry into Reiwa, Teru must finally decide what to give up and what to keep.

A group of friends from high school days reunite for once more time before one of them dies from cancer.

Hozumi is a doctor and he is friends with manga artist Soeda. They both like Asako who works at a tropical fish shop. Hozumi eventually gives up Asako for his friend Soeda. Soeda and Asako decide to get married, but, after they get married, Soeda dates another woman and abuses Asako. He even pushes Asako to have an affair with Hozumi. Hozumi still has feelings for Asako, but his love changes to hatred.
