The Cure are pop outsiders. Over a fifty year career, the English band have released 14 studio albums to great acclaim but it was their 1989 album Disintegration, released during a pivotal year in Europe and the world, which would capture the imagination of so many fans. This documentary tells the story of this landmark work of art in the history of popular music.

A 20 minute looping installation showcasing a montage of clips using footage from previously released Gorillaz documentaries, live shows, music videos, and behind-the-scenes films - including the likes of Bananaz, The Making of Plastic Beach, and their 2023 Coachella performance.

This archive collection of The Cure's performances on the BBC goes from the early days with A Forest through to hits like Lovecats, Friday I'm In Love, Close To Me and Boys Don't Cry, demonstrating why, in Britain and overseas, they enjoyed – or pretended not to enjoy – such huge success.

Songs of a Lost World is the fourteenth studio album by English rock band the Cure, released on 1 November 2024 via Fiction,  Lost Music, Universal, Polydor, and Capitol Records. It is the band's first release of new material in 16 years since the release of 4:13 Dream in 2008. All the songs on the album were composed solely by singer/guitarist Robert Smith, for the first time since the 1985 album The Head on the Door. It is also their first studio album to feature guitarist Reeves Gabrels. The record was released a day after Halloween at Smith's request. Released as a Bluray Audio with Dolby Atmos and PCM Stereo 96/24 sound.
