Vienna in 1931. Fanny, the daughter of a Vienna police trainer, meets the Chinese police officer Ma Yunlong, who is completing specialist training in Vienna. The shy acquaintance quickly turns into great love. Against the will of her parents, Fanny travels to China on her 18th birthday to marry Yunlong. At his side, Fanny begins a new life in the Middle Kingdom, which is characterized by deprivation and painful turns due to the multiple political upheavals.

Comedian Harmonists tells the story of a famous, German male sextet, five vocals and piano, the "Comedian Harmonists", from the day they meet first in 1927 to the day in 1934, when they become banned by the upcoming Nazis, because three of them are Jewish.

Teresa and her husband Adam are on a romantic vacation to Taormina, Sicily, intended to cement their reconciliation. But Lorenz, Teresa's young companion through "The Night of Nights," has settled in precisely this place. It's not long before Teresa and Lorenz meet by chance. Adam surprises them, draws the wrong conclusions, and wants to cut their vacation short. Teresa, with her mother's help over the phone, tries to change Adam's mind. As a successful divorce lawyer, however, Adam wants to behave differently than his clients and not stand in the way of their young couple's happiness.

Following the failure of the marriage of the influential publisher Helmreich and his wife, Helmreich wins the suit for the custody of their 6-year old son. His former wife, Uschi, robbed of the meaning of her life, commits an act of desperation.

The story tells of a love which after ten years is beginning to grow old, and of the attempt to turn the imminent end into a new beginning. After ten years of eventful relationship, man and woman have finally decided to say yes to each other in an abandoned railway station on the edge of town. It is the first evening in their new home. Everything is temporary, nothing is finished. The furniture has not yet been delivered, the heating is not functioning yet, the telephone is not connected, neither is the television. They are inescapably confronted with their own selves and with each other. And although, at least at the beginning, they fervently strive for love and harmony, the past catches up with them. When he, as always, seeks to withdraw by taking flight, he discovers that his key does not fit. He is at her mercy. Ruthlessly, they call each other to account.
