The reggae legends with new lead vocalist Matt Doyle. With just a few days left on the tour, UB40 realized the right time had arrived to livestream the intimate Uptown Theater performance.

A newly discovered treasure trove of tapes from Studio 17, or Randy's located in downtown Kingston Jamaica, is the starting point for this remarkable story about a Chinese Jamaican family who helped create the music we now know as reggae.

UB40 are one of the most successful British acts of all time, with a huge string of hits on both sides of the Atlantic and around the globe. Featuring most of their greatest hits, including both songs to hit #1 in America: "Red, Red Wine" and "Can't Help Falling In Love". To date, 2002 is the band's only appearance at the Montreux Festival but clearly inspired them to produce one of their finest performances. This performance is being simultaneously released on CD.

Recorded on June 22, 1991, at Finsbury Park, London, this concert was part of the Labour of Love II tour and attracted an audience of approximately 30,000 spectators ([turn0search5], [turn0search10]). The band’s lineup featured Ali Campbell (vocals, guitar), Robin Campbell (guitar, backing vocals), Earl Falconer (bass), Jimmy Brown (drums), Norman Hassan (percussion), Brian Travers (saxophone), Astro (vocals, toasting), Mickey Virtue (keyboards), Henry Tenyue (trombone), and Patrick Tenyue (trumpet).

An illegal psychic teleportation experiment goes horribly wrong, and pretentious promo director Patrick gets his genes mixed with those of a football hooligan. Slowly, he begins to change - taking on some undeniably yobbish tendencies.

British reggae band UB40 became synonymous with the 1980s for its funky, happy sound. Relive the band's heyday with this live 1982 televised concert in which they perform hits such as "Present Arms," "Sardonicus," "Silent Witness," "Don't Do the Crime," "I Won't Close My Eyes," "Don't Slow Down," "The Piper Calls the Tune," "Love Is All Is Alright," "Forget the Cost," "Folitician" and "One in Ten and Tyler."

This performance was filmed on July 19, 1981, at the Sartory-Saal in Cologne, Germany, as part of the WDR Rockpalast television series. While unofficially titled At Rockpalast, it was later released on DVD in 2004, featuring multi-camera footage in PAL format and PCM stereo/Dolby audio. The band’s lineup at the time included founding members Ali Campbell (vocals, guitar), Robin Campbell (guitar, backing vocals), Earl Falconer (bass), Jimmy Brown (drums), Norman Hassan (percussion), Brian Travers (saxophone), among others.
