The singer-songwriter performs with his band in two concerts broadcast in 2003 and 2005 as part of the Soundstage series jointly produced by WTTW, the PBS station in Chicago, and HD Ready.

This concert is released for the first time on DVD, and features the band playing London's Royal Albert Hall late in 1998, at their peak in the UK with Raul Malo on vocals and generally leading the charge. An initially reserved Albert Hall crowd quickly responds to the uptempo excitement the band create, cast aside their inhibitions and make this a real party - some even joining the band on stage at one point. Originally formed in Miami in 1989 The Mavericks were the premier alternative country /tex-mex band of the 90's, with no fewer than 14 Billboard chart singles and 6 albums to their credit. The band finally split up in 2003, and this 59 minute DVD displays them at their best with all their hits.

With a vision that took him far beyond the genre of country rock, singer-songwriter Gram Parsons left his mark in gut-wrenching sentiments of country music, burning melodies typical of soul music, sweet, uplifting harmonies of gospel choirs and the hand-clapping boogie of rock and roll. Gram's daughter Polly organized this amazing gathering of his close friends and biggest fans for a Sin City tribute honoring this prince of longhair country boys. Filmed in Austin, Texas, in 2004, the band rock the sizeable crowd at the Stubbs' Barbecue venue with a wide selection of material from their career. The band were undergoing a creative renaissance at the time, having staged a spectacular comeback after a 6-year break from the business. Refreshed and rejuvenated, the band perform with the passion of a group of youngsters just getting started, and deliver a great set of rocking tunes.
