In the TV fairy tale based on P. Dobšinský's story, we witness the journey of a young man from the village who longs to know the world. On his journey he wanders into an enchanted land guarded by a strange grandmother - a shepherdess. The young man's smile and the manners his parents have taught him charm her soul so much that she helps him reach the royal palace, where the royal parents neither live nor die - but the punishment for their relationship with people and the world is, above all, the petrification of their daughter. Only the one who overcomes the three-headed bossor in dance and other tasks can free them from the curse. Our hero decides to help them...

Milda, a 13-year-old boy, loves to read adventure novels and imagines himself as a musketeer. He spends his summer vacation with his parents in a cottage in the Jizera Mountains, where he meets new friends and faces various challenges.

Young prisoner Jan, nicknamed Roughboy (Petr Cepek), tries to commit suicide. He was imprisoned for a fight in which he injured a functionary of the National Committee and for stealing material but actually by the blame for this crime was pinned on him by the road-builders in whose group he worked. The prison doctor knows that Jan is an emotionally deprived person who never knew his parents and spent all his childhood - except one year with foster-parents - in orphanages, homes for youth and reform schools. He arranges a five-day holiday for Jan, who wants to find his mother's grave.

The Slippers of Happiness is another film made by the Slovak Film Production in co-production with West German companies based on classic world fairy tales. After Slovak folk tales [The Greatest Peck in the World, Salt Over Gold] and the works of German fairy tale writers Wilhelm Hauff [The False Prince] and the Brothers Grimm [The Land of the Thrush's Beard, Perinbaba], screenwriter Alex Koenigsmark and director Juraj Herz were inspired by the famous fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. It tells the story of slippers that the Fairy of Fortune enchanted so that they would fulfill every human wish and thus bring people happiness. The filmmakers humorously transferred the plot from Copenhagen to old Prague.
