Vienna no longer has anyone like him: Karl Farkas. "Look at that!" was the leitmotif of his life. He was the only one of the postwar generation who could demonstrate how cabaret had been performed during the interwar period: primarily with Jewish wit, humor, and plenty of personality. Farkas became known throughout Austria through his legendary TV shows "Balance Sheets." His "Annual Balance Sheets" remained a television hit until his death. Among those appearing in the best Farkas shows are Ernst Waldbrunn, Maxi Böhm, Gerhard Bronner, Fritz Muliar, Otto Schenk, Ossy Kolmann, and Fritz Imhoff. The DVD "Look at that!" brings together the highlights from "Simpl" and TV's "Balance Sheets." A classic of intelligent humor from 1965-1971.

The film deals with questions that have long tormented us: Who was the first civil servant? How has the civil service developed over the course of history? What did Mr. Weber, Engineer Breitfuß, Ms. Knackal, and Mr. Claus do before MA 2412 existed? How did they meet? Why was MA 2412 actually founded? Using original texts from Qualtinger, the two authors develop a pandemonium of 'Viennese cordiality'. Set in a municipal building, in the Prater and the surrounding streets, sausage stands, etc., characters and unerring punchlines result in an enjoyable Viennese film, written for the squad of local cabaret artists.
The manufacturer Xaver Frey is forced into bankruptcy by his bank and decides to commit suicide in a sleeping car from Vienna to Venice. There he encounters the sleeping car attendant Horak, who is about to retire and who uses every legal and illegal means to prevent his suicide.
